A Maasai man. Mount Kilimanjaro at his back.
What makes us who we are? The clothes we wear? The land we live on? or the bloodline we share?
As tradition meets the modern world, I find myself asking: does changing mean becoming less?
Or does it mean we were always more than one thing?
I stitched this piece exploring what it means to belong to a tribe, to a continent, to an idea of Africa that was never just one thing.
